Central Library

The Central Library being the main learning resource centre of RIMS, serves with not only the recent edition of books and journals but also provide e-learning platform to all faculties, researchers and students of health professional community. This library, spread over a huge area of about 37000 sq. ft. has a wide collection of books, journals and dissertations. It has 92278 books and 3245 journals (foreign and national). The Central Library is situated in the New Academic Building & occupies five floors of it. One floor is dedicated as reading room for the students who carry their own books for their study purpose.

It has a total of 568 seating capacity with 48 e-learning seats where faculties, researchers and students can refer to various e-learning resources available in the library. Also, a very good anti-plagiarism software is available.

Timing

The Central Library shall remain open all working day Monday to Friday from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. and Circulation (Issue/Returns) Timing will be 9.30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M. and Saturday from 9.00 A. M. to 2.00 P.M. and Circulation (Issue/Returns) Timing will be 9.30 A.M. to 1.30 P.M.
The Central Library Reading Hall (4th Floor) shall remain open from 8:00 AM till 10:00 PM on all days including Sundays and holidays (except National holidays).
Digital Library is available round the clock.

Reading Hall rules

The right to use RIMS Reading Hall is exclusively reserved for the members of Central Library, RIMS.
Members should produce their Library Membership card at the entrance.
The seats are to be used/occupied on a first come first first-served basis.
Capturing/reserving seats for friends/future use is strictly prohibited. Other scholars may remove the bags and books if they are left unattended on the tables.
Readers should not scribble on tabletops or damage them.
Readers should not clutter the table with heaps of books and other reading materials.
Readers should not leave bags/books/copies on the table and cannot claim, capture, and reserve seats for future use.
Reading Hall shall remain open from 8 am till 10 pm on all days including sundays and holidays (except national holidays).
