The Public Information Office (PIO) situated on the ground floor of academic block (near Biochemistry department) is responsible for providing all information related to RIMS to public as mandated under RTI Act 2005. Dr. Sanjay Kumar assistant professor, Department of FMT is working as public information officer (administration) as additional charge. He is being assisted by Mr Subhash Bhagat, Health educator, department of PSM as assistant PIO (admin), One computer operator and a peon.

With the present arrangement HODs of all department and in charge of all offices in RIMS has been designated as PIOs of their respective departments/ offices and they are assisted by assistant PIO in their departments/ offices. Director RIMS, Ranchi acts as first appellate authority of RIMS and state information commission as second appellate authority.

RTI office is fully dedicated to its task and in near future is in process to provide adequate information regarding RTI applications through RIMS website which will be more convenient and user friendly.
